Quantum Tunneling 2003 - 2008 (Personal Project)

Quantum mechanics is one of the least understood phenomena in science for it centers around shifting laws of action and reaction. Working with James Gimzewski, A "tunnel" space completely covered with mirror material connecting two identical spaces in which images of the audience are projected and distorted. The participants look into a mirrored column with a hidden camera and their image is captured and presented in conglomeration with the face of another visitor. When another visitor passes through the tunnel, the facial images are again disturbed and altered, fractured into particles and waves. The most successful and advanced version was created during my residency at the Kunsthaus in Graz, Austria. Here I discovered with the audience a state of weightlessness is achieved when laying down in a fully mirrored space with infinite reflections and distortions.
